IP CCTV was the topic of a seminar recently held by the Alberta Group, as a platform to update the industry with the latest trends and technologies in crime prevention using CCTV.

Alberta Sales Manager Adrian Cutajar explained how by the end of this year, IP CCTV sales will constitute 65% of the world’s total CCTV market. Alberta has always been the leader in implementing such technology in Malta, and has successfully commissioned several high profile projects.

VideoIQ European Sales Director Stefano Torri, and Avigilon Key Account Sales Manager Corrado Grandin, gave live presentations and demonstrations during the seminar.  Mr. Torri spoke about the highest performing video analytics and demonstrated that VideoIQ should definitely be the preferred choice for solutions which offer accuracy and reliability with little tolerance for false alarms. Corrado Grandin, explained the value of megapixel cameras and stressed the importance of the image quality in CCTV. Avigilon developed IP cameras with up to 29 megapixels resolution, the highest in the market to date.

The seminar was attended by security specialists, engineers and IT Managers from both private and public entities who were interested in obtaining a better understanding of the latest advancements in high definition IP CCTV systems.
