The Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) has warned the public that SGT Malta, a financial services entity, is neither authorised not licensed by the MFSA to provide any financial service and has consequently warned the public to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this entity.

SGT Malta, as depicted on the website - http://sgtmalta.net/eb/, claims to be offering financial services including online banking, but the MFSA has insisted that it does not have any authorisation or a license in terms of law.

“The MFSA would like to remind investors and consumers of financial services not to enter into any financial services transaction unless they have ascertained that the entity with whom the transaction is being made holds a license to provide such services from the MFSA or another reputable financial services regulator.”

A list of entities licensed by the MFSA is available from the Malta Financial Services Authority, and can be viewed at: www.mfsa.com.mt.
