16 students awarded ILM Diploma in Management

Sixteen students who successfully completed the ILM Diploma in Management (Level 5) were awarded certificates during an Awards Ceremony that was held at the MCAST Institute of Business and Commerce.

With a strong background in business and management education, the MCAST Institute of Business and Commerce offers the Diploma in Management for those who are already involved in middle management or who are seeking a career progression to this level of management.  This qualification, which is awarded by one of the leading and most reputable training institutions within Europe - the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), has been offered at the Institute since October 2008.

Through the qualification, practising and potential middle managers develop themselves by acquiring the knowledge and skills base they need to perform effectively in the management role. Throughout the training programme, participants deepen their exposure and experience in various aspects related to management studies and practice.

This twelve unit Diploma is spread out over a period of two years part-time. The module titles include Finance, Customer Relations, Managing Resources, Managing Information, Critical Thinking, Managing Projects in Organisations, Managing Marketing Activities and Leading Innovation and Change.

Aris Cefai, Director of Human Resources at Premier Capital plc delivered a speech on Inspiring Leadership in Management. He mentioned the importance of nurturing and developing leadership skills and the empowerment of staff.

The certificates were presented to the students by Stephen Cachia, MCAST Principal and CEO.
