Christmas in Pageantry, Music and Song

Article By: news

A Christmas Concert was organised by the Gozo Cultural Council in Independence Square, Victoria.

Various choral groups from Gozo participated with sung carols and accompanied by young upcoming musicians on violins, organs and other light instruments. The climax of the evening’s concert was the drama group hailing from the village of Xaghra, the Nazzarenu Church youth group, who came to Independence Square in full force with orchestra, choir and costumes.

Among the young participants were the Fjur tal-Margerita choir of Sannat, the Fjur t’Assisi choir of the Capuchin’s Friary of Victoria, the Gozo School of Music students and the recently founded choir from St George’s Basilica, the Piccole Stelle choir.
