“Families need to know the truth” - Muscat
Labour leader Joseph Muscat has asked Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi whether he has published all the reports regarding Enemalta.
Speaking at an event in Lija, Muscat stated that “Maltese and Gozitan families need to know.”
“Gonzi hasn’t given a clear answer about the oil buying scandal,” he added.
Muscat also said that talks on a gas pipeline had started in 1997 by former Foreign Minister George Vella with his Libyan and Italian counterparts. These continued under the Nationalist government but the latter opted for fuel oil instead of gas.
Muscat added that his party’s proposals were taken after talks with different entities and discussing the problems that each faced.
