AD - “Make History”
In a press conference in Sliema, AD Chairperson Michael Briguglio said that "It is with great pleasure to see that both Lawrence Gonzi and Joseph Muscat are ready to work with Alternattiva Demokratika - The Green Party in parliament.”
He added that “It was my pleasure to hold debates with them in the past week, and likewise, it will be a pleasure to have AD in parliament. We will act as a bridge between the parties, and we will put forward proposals which are very much needed in Malta. Our first proposal will be to ensure meritocracy in top public appointments through public parliamentary hearings."
"With 2,000 votes in a district, voters can make history by electing AD in parliament. I appeal to those who want the third party in parliament and to those who have not yet collected their vote to make history through their vote. On the ballot sheet, AD voters can also move on to their preferred candidates of choice from other political parties," he said.
AD spokesperson, Arnold Cassola, said that “it was Lawrence Gonzi and Joseph Muscat themselves who were motivating people to vote Alternattiva Demokratika,” since the answers given by the two party leaders, makes it imperative for Alternattiva Demokratika to be in parliament.
“Two thousand votes in a district from the people and, after half a century, a new era of parliamentary democracy, transparency and pluralism would start", he concluded.
