AD against Hunters’ request
AD is dumbfounded by the request made by the Hunter’s Federation to stop foreigners roaming the Maltese countryside and if elected in parliament will insist for the abolition of spring hunting.
“The presence of foreign environmentalists monitoring the countryside is a clear indication that the international community is preoccupied with Mata’s non-adherence to basic environmental rules” said AD Deputy Chairman and spokesperson for Sustainable Development and Home Affairs Carmel Cacopardo.
AD Chairperson Michael Briguglio stated that AD will continue to promote enforcement against hunting illegalities.
AD spokesperson on EU and International Affairs Arnold Cassola said that it was ironic and absurd that the Federation was proposing blocking entrance to foreigners to certain parts of Malta when Maltese are free to work and study in any of the 27 European countries.
