The Alternattiva Demokratika (AD) will not be held hostage, AD Chairperson Michael Briguglio announced.

Dr Briguglio stated that the AD will not be held hostage by big business, hunters, trappers, firework fanatics, Armier squatters, and big land developers. He spoke of equal rights for everyone, from people with disabilities to members of the LGBT community, allowing the right for IVF without discrimination as well as marriage for everyone. He pledged to defend Malta’s cultural and environmental heritage

The AD Chairperson concluded by stating that as a minor partner the AD will strive to develop politics by consensus and will not resort to “threats to have our way at all costs”.
