Austin Gatt’s inherited Swiss bank account was declared, however he did not make subsequent declarations of financial interests Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has stated.

Dr Gonzi indicated that the bank account had been declared before 2005 and that the Ministers financial declarations will be corrected. The PN Leader spoke of the Labour Party’s handling of the Toni Abela situation, regarding the request he made to a police officer not to investigate a case, adding that if the PL are elected to Government the PL would interfere with police investigations. 

The Prime Minister concluded that he is waiting for PL Leader Joseph Muscat to take responsibility for his Deputy Leader's actions.
