Alternattiva Demokratika Chairperson Michael Briguglio said that “Following AD's historic result, its best ever, AD achieved far more than a parliamentary quota.”

In a statement, he pointed out that “For this reason I hereby strongly appeal to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, whom I congratulate, to ensure historic justice by setting the ball rolling to ensure parliamentary representation for these 5,500 voters.”

I am very happy at the Labour Movement astounding victory at the general elections. Ok the electoral rules does not decree so, but I stand by my view that the Labour Government should find a way to give Alternattiva Demokrattika a place in Parliament, having gained 5,500. Justice is being done with the Nationalist Party, why not with the Alternattiva Demokratika. Malta taghna lkoll, and revision of electoral laws and constitution should be also a priority with the Labour Government. Justice should be deny. To dump 5,500 vots in the dustbins it is an utter shame.
