The Electoral Commissioners notify that nominations by candidates for the forthcoming General and Local Councils’ Elections will be received at Evans Building, Valletta and at the Identity Cards Office, Rabat, Gozo, on Monday 28, Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 from 09:00h until 14:00h and from 15:00h to 20:00h.

Prospective candidates are advised to present their identity card and that the top section of the nomination form should reflect the details of the candidate as shown in the last published electoral register of January 12, 2013. In case that the nomination form needs to be submitted by a representative of the candidate, the representative must supply a power of attorney authenticated by a notary public.

Application forms for prospective candidates may be obtained from the Office of the Electoral Commission from today and during nomination days.

Objections to nominations shall be received at the same office during the days and hours established for nominations as well as on Thursday January 31 and Friday February 1, during the same hours.
