The Prime Minister is directly responsible for the oil procurement case after endorsing Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Communication Austin Gatt, PL Leader Joseph Muscat announced.

Attending a press conference in Rabat, Dr Muscat stated that Minister Gatt had explained he only met George Farrugia in meetings which did not include any discussion of Enemalta or oil procurement. The PL Leader explained that emails published in the media proved otherwise.

This comes after George Farrugia was granted a conditional Presidential pardon last week, which will absolve him of Any responsibility from the case as long as he fully cooperates with the investigation.
