PN leader Lawrence Gonzi has pledged to get the best possible fund agreement from the EU for the next seven years.

He was visiting a pig farm in Zebbug, where he explained that farmers will also benefit. Mario Abela who has received EU funding, was the first farmer to transform his farm to EU standards.

Whilst visiting the grounds, Dr Gonzi explained how the PN is focussing on this sector mentioning the importance of fixing rural roads and how the night tariff would benefit farmers. He added that farmers consume a high amount of energy overnight.
