The office of the prime minister has denied claims that Lawrence Gonzi “confirmed in front of the European commission that it will take Malta before the European Court of Justice" over emissions from the Marsa power station.

It said that the report did not reflect the Prime Minister’s comments.

The office stated that the position did not change since January 2012, where the only difference was that the government answered for the Reasoned Opinion of the European Commission on August 21, 2012.
