Health centre opening hours will be extended by three hours from today, closing at 20:00h instead of 17:00h, Prime Minister Lawrence gonzi said today whilst re-inaugurating the Mosta health centre following a refurbishment.

The refurbishment cost €600,000 and the extention was made possible following a collective agreement with the doctors’ union last week. Dr Gonzi pledged that a PN Government would have a main focus on healthcare, built around regional hubs.

There will be three hubs, Dr Gonzi said, one in Mosta, one in Paola and one in St Julians.
