Labour candidates of superior quality - Joseph Muscat
The Labour candidates are of ‘superior’ quality, PL leader Joseph Muscat explained this afternoon whilst being interviewed on TV rogramme TX
Dr Muscat explained that a good number of the party's candidates are female and there are also a number of new names resulting in what the PL leader described as 'a good mix'.
The PL leader spoke of the proposed MEPA reform explaining that the changes will not give developers and NGO’s a blank cheque but will work better than the current system. He described MEPA as one of the spectacular failures in Malta.
Dr Muscat also claimed that the PN would need to raise taxes in order to finance the €120 million worth of projects it proposed in its electoral programme while PL’s proposals are more of a roadmap based on economic growth and investment.
Discussing the oil procurement issue, Dr Muscat added that it is not acceptable for people to receive commissions and adressed the fact that when PN had the option to change to gas it never accepted it.
