PN Secretary General Paul Borg Olivier has called for PL Leader Joseph Muscat’s withdrawal as a candidate following his admittance in the media that he was mistaken not to report the alleged Hal Safi drug case at the PL club to the police.

Dr Borg Olivier was speaking at Mgarr this morning when he announced that Dr Muscat also admitted that his Deputy Leader, Toni Abela, had also made mistakes. If Toni Abela were a candidate he would have been asked to withdraw, The PN Secretary General added.

The Secretary General posed the question “how can Joseph Muscat get away with this?” He added that this was an extremely serious case involving drugs.

When asked about PL candidate Manuel Mallia’s threat regarding attempting to send him to jail, Dr Borg Olivier said that he is not intimidated.
