PL Leader Joseph Muscat has agreed with the call for PN Secretary General Paul Borg Olivier’s incarceration.

Dr Muscat was addressing a press conference in Ta’ Xbiex where he said that criminal libel laws must be discussed after the election. He emphasised that laws must always favour the media however in turn the media must act responsibly.

Last week Dr Mallia had stated that he would be filing a criminal complaint against Dr Borg Olivier and will seek incarceration over defamatory statements he had made. A press conference held later revealed that the PL wanted to take Malta back 20 years.
