National cinematography fund proposed by PL

A National Cinematography fund will be created, PL Leader Joseph Muscat announced this morning.

Dr Muscat was addressing a press conference at the Wigna Court Museum in Rabat, where he further described the PL’s plans for culture. He added that a school of art will form part of the University and will focus on fine arts as well as game design.

A national fund for excellence will be created in order to help artists develop and enhance their skills, the PL Leader announced.

Dr Muscat also described coordination between the different cultural departments adding that a free open day at Government owned museums will be introduced in order to help popularize culture.

Concluding, the Joseph Muscat described the need to upgrade the National Library as well as the archives.
