No discrimination between blood donors
Sexual orientation should not affect blood donation, Labour leader Joseph Muscat held this afternoon whilst visiting the Blood Donation Centre in Gwardamanġia.
Dr Muscat insisted that there is no place for discrimination based on a person’s sexual orientation in Malta. He mentioned a number of countries, including England, which do not discriminate when it comes to blood donation.
The PL leader mentioned that if an incentive for organ donation is proposed it would have to be on a small scale as the PL would not want to put vulnerable people in danger.
