There is no need for a Youth Guarantee since so many jobs were created in the last legislature, PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi said during a political activiyty in Iklin.

Dr Gonzi spoke of heated arguments he had in the EU when asking for more funds, claiming that the EU said that Malta doesn't need it because of all the jobs it has created.

The Prime Minister spoke of the imortance of jobs, reiterating his comments in this morning debate that the PN would work hard to ensure enough jobs for all graduates. He emphasised his joy at the rise in the female partecipation rate this last legislature had seen, however mentioning that there is still more to do.

Dr Gonzi spoke of his meeting with the Libyan pilot who had defected to Malta in 2011, stating that Malta stood firm when the Ghaddafi regime wanted the pilots back.

GonziPN practically did nothing against the creation of precarious jobs. So the youths urgently need a guarantee. Such guarantee cannot be given by a PN Government. That is why the country needs a new administration with fresh ideas, new and modern proposals. Such new direction only PL can give it.
