Public Broadcasting Services (PBS) has not issued a statement and has yet to reveal the high ranking official within the company that PL states acted as a mediator between PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi and PN Deputy Franco Debono.

During the meeting, according to Dr Debono, he was prompted by PN Lawrence Gonzi to attack the PL. Also present to this meeting was a high ranking official of PBS, which clearly indicates that various ways in which the PL could be harassed where discussed.

PL is stating that the PBS official in question had to make use of his broadcasting authority to make use of the national stations as part of the harassing strategy against PL.

PL feels that the administration is obliged to indicate the person in question and if this person had the permission of the Board of Directors to attend the meeting that goes against the impartiality that PBS should maintain.
