PL campaign starts at midnight
The Labour Party is expected to start its electoral campaign at the stroke of midnight tonight.
Leader Joseph Muscat and deputy leaders Louis Grech and Toni Abela are expected to formally launch the campaign live on the party's television.
Both the PN and the PL had agreed to postpone the electoral campaign to January 7 on the last Parliament sitting held on December 10, 2012.
During the last sitting, government failed to muster a majority of votes in the House of Representatives to approve this year's budget and the Prime Minister was forced to call on the President to dissolve Parliament.
Due to the Christmas season it had been agreed that the electoral campaign is postponed to start when Parliament is dissolved on January 7.
The President of Malta, Dr George Abela, will dissolve Parliament tomorrow at 9:30h and call for elections to be held on March 9.
