Local and foreign companies have shown interest in the Labour Party's energy plan, Joseph Muscat claimed this afternoon whilst visiting some of Malta's historical monuments.

He added that these companies have also asked to see further information. Refusing to reveal names, Dr Muscat announced that these companies are welcome to reveal themselves should they want to. He added that no deal has been struck with any companies.

He argued that there is profit to be made in the energy sector, so this comes as no surprise.

The PL Leader has spent much of the afternoon visiting Malta's historical monuments, such as the Freedom Monument, placing wreath's at their feet.
