The problems of children in at risk of poverty households must be addressed, PL Leader Joseph Muscat explained during a press conference in Qawra.

To help tackle this situation, the PL will introduce regular meetings between local councils, police and the social services amongst others. He believes that the situation needs to be tackled swiftly, adding that local councils must play a larger role in society.

Dr Muscat argued that the threshold of social services will be revised in order to ensure that families do not lose out on benefits.

Concluding, the PL Leader committed to following the Union Haddiema Maghqudin's Active Labour Market Policy through a number of schemes.
