PL Leader Joseph Muscat stated that PL has the best credentials to use EU funds in the best way possible for the country.

PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi is trying to discredit PL on issues of funds and finances, said Dr Muscat. However in the European Parliament, PL Deputy Leader Louis Grech was entrusted with sensitive reports regarding the EU budget funds thus making him the best person to utilize the multi-million EU budget.

The Presidency of the EU in 2017 is a great opportunity for the country which will lead to a huge responsibility that will reflect how efficiently you can work through the process, claimed Dr Muscat.

PL Leader also mentioned the PN proposal about out-of-stock medicine where patients have to pay for the medicine that is not available. PN is giving two different versions with the Prime Minister giving out one version and PN Deputy Leader Simon Busuttil another. A PL Government will discourage such a system with it being used only as an exception, this through a system where medicine will be inputted into a procurement and stock management system.
