PL Leader Joseph Muscat spoke how the PL is for the creation of more jobs, awards hard working people and fights tax evasion. Moreover, PL is for the workers, the self-employed and businesses. 

During the program “Fis-Sustanza”, PL Leader spoke more about the proposals proposed this morning among which the incentive to help family businesses to transfer properties. “The new government will award those who have small businesses with a tax rate of 15% on the first €12,000” said PL Muscat. Another proposal is that a 15% tax rate on part-time jobs will be paid on the first €10,000, to motivate people to declare their part-time jobs. Each proposal will be presented online to let people give their feedback and allows the government to know what the people think about it.

Corruption has to be eradicated from politics and PL is committed to remove prescription law defending politicians, this will result in more honest people in politics, said PL Leader.As more time goes by, more people are fighting for their rights, said Dr Muscat. He also named online movements that arose to fight against the introduction of ACTA, which PN had previously agreed to.

The new government is for accountability and will review the system each year to make sure the system is working for the people and not the other way round, concluded Dr Muscat.
