PL win general election with comfortable majority
Labour have a comfortable majority of around 54% of first count votes translating into more than 30,000 votes and possibly nine deputies.
PL candidates and supporters have confirmed to di-ve.com that Labour garnered around 54% of first preference votes according to the first sample.
The shout that Labour had won immediately went round the Naxxar counting hall as candidates and party officials congratulated each other.
PN secretary general Paul Borg Olivier declared on NET TV that Labour had a comfortable majority within 30 minutes of the counting.
