In a meeting with his supporters in Qrendi, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said “job creation is our primary goal”.

He added that in the past legislature, the government acted accordingly and saved 5000 jobs during the international financial crisis in 2008.

Gonzi also spoke about the positive feedback which he received about the Maltese workforce from foreign firms.

The PM also made reference to the PL proposals where he said that “Our population wants to know where this change in direction that the PL keeps talking about will take us. We are not going to get an answer, because the change in direction is not going to be the right one."
