The first PN Mass Meeting since the start of the 2013 electoral campaign kicked off in Żabbar this afternoon.

PN Deputy Leader Simon Busuttil was the first to address the crowd with the term ‘Dear Europeans’.  Dr Busuttil said he was proud to be representing the PN for the first time as its Deputy Leader and called upon all Maltese nationals to choose wisely the ‘captain’ who will lead them during the next five years. The leader of this country should be one that stick around no matter what, Deputy Leader Busuttil said.

The political party which has safeguarded employment rates, education and health services is the one which can guarantee that the future will be financially secure so that we can build and improve upon it, said Mr Busuttil.

The PN have come up with proposals that will lead us forward in the next five years, said Deputy Leader Busuttil. Standing by the truth and taking necessary difficult decisions are required in safeguarding national interest and the PN has envisioned a future for Malta and it wants Maltese citizens to be proud to be Maltese and European. A high quality of life, social justice and more opportunities, is what the PN is offering people.

“From my experience, I can assure you that our country is respected” claimed Simon Busuttil. The PN has worked so that Malta has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the EU, when it helped create 20,000 jobs. There is an exception in the Mediterranean and it is called, Malta” said Deputy Leader Simon Busuttil.

PL Leader Joseph Muscat is a man who is trying to impersonate how the PN speaks and acts, but this is all a falsehood and he affirmed that he belonged to the true Nationalist party and he was proud of this, the Deputy Leader explained as he compared Dr Muscat to former PL Leader Alfred Sant and asked him to discard the energy proposals since they are irresponsible.

PN has the enthusiasm that comes from the Maltese and Gozitan youths and a united team that wants to loyally serve the country in the next legislature. The PN will guarantee a future that is financially stable for the sake of our country and our children, concluded the PN Deputy Leader.

PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi encouraged the crowd to make the right decision in the national interest when they will be called upon to vote on March 9. “The PN has a glorious history contrary to the PL that is even ashamed of its flag,” says PN Leader Gonzi.

Dr Gonzi reminded the people of the good results that PN has provided. The PN has obtained a record in the number of jobs created, the number of youths that have graduated from university and other institutions, and an increase in the number of women that have entered the work force. Few are the countries at the moment that have successfully obtained so much in the last five years, he claimed.

PN Leader Gonzi urged the people to think before making their choice, a choice that should not be just because a change is required but a choice that must weigh what kind of change is needed and which direction this change will take. The PN Leader reminded that the PN have kept their promises, free health services, one of the best education systems and a good track record that makes us proud to be Maltese citizens.

The good reputation that PN has built comes from taking responsible and sustainable decisions, the PN Leader told the crowd. PN makes you proud to be Maltese and European he claimed as opposed to the PL which makes you feel ashamed. The PN found a balance between having secure finances and decreasing tax rates so that more assets are available to the people where most of the wages have increased, said PN Leader. “The choice is yours but the best choice is the Nationalist Party” said PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi.

Referring to the PL Leader Joseph Muscat, the PN Leader reminded the crowd, that when asked what change the PL wants to bring in the next five years, no answer was given. Dr Gonzi warned people that Dr Muscat was not truthful in the past years and that his claims now are untrustworthy as well.  PN Leader referred to the Power Station sickness rate claims made by PL Leader Joseph Muscat as shameful.

PN Leader narrated Dr Muscat’s disbelief to the number of jobs that have been created. He spoke of the number of youths that have graduated from university, MCAST and other institutions and guaranteed that in the next five years more than 20,000 jobs will be created in the next five years for these youths.

In the next five years PN guarantees that the best services will be offered in our health institutions. PN ensures that not only free medicines will be provided but also a clean sea and open spaces for families to enjoy, Dr Gonzi said, explaining how PN transformed the southern part of Malta and improved the quality of life of its citizens.

The differences between the two parties are very clear, said Dr Gonzi. The changes that PL proposes do more damage than good and the PN party will not abandon the people in good or bad and reaffirmed that together all is possible if we work together.

“Together there can be a future that will benefit the country and future generations if people work together in the best national interest,” the PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi concluded.
