In a statement, Alternattiva Demokratika chairperson Michael Briguglio criticized the PN and PL’s electoral campaigns.

He said that "The way the PN and PL are constantly trading in criticism on party financing and copying each other’s discourse and ideas resembles a theatre of the absurd.”

Briguglio added that “Beyond the spin and empty rhetoric, the truth is that big business has disproportionate influence on both parties, and the electoral campaign has become a parody of itself. In parliament AD will table concrete proposals on party financing, based on our manifesto proposals.”
