PN - Best certificate from Europe's strongest
If PN is again entrusted with government it will continue taking measures that will improve everybody’s livelihood as it has done in the past, prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi promised during an event held this morning at Villa Arrigo, Naxxar.
Dr Gonzi continued that PN is in favour of economic liberalisation which will support economic growth through competiveness, continuing that “as much as we can we’ll take a step back and leave more money in people’s pockets,” he said.
The PN leader told those present that the Marsascala Family Park developed on the site of the former Sant’Antnin landfill which was set to be inaugurated last June, has missed its deadline but will be inaugurated in the close future and before the March 9 election. This will be Malta’s largest family park covering an area of 21 football pitches.
Dr Gonzi expressed his satisfaction at the comments made by German Chancellor Angela Merkel who claimed that Malta had proven to be an example in the present economic crisis. The government has received the “best certificate possible from Europe’s strongest country,” he said.
Such a certificate is the result of honest decisions which at times cost the party its popularity; however the results speak for themselves and are based on facts and not gimmicks, the PN leader stressed whilst warning that the country’s success should not be taken forgranted and the electorate should go to the ballots with a mature responsible decision in mind.
The PN Executive Committee is this evening expected to approve the party’s electoral manifesto.
