PN to extend micro-invest
The micro-invest scheme will be extended to businesses with a maximum of 30 employees, PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi announced this morning.
Dr Gonzi was visiting the Qormi market, adding that the scheme is currently available for businesses with up to 10 employees. He explained the importance of small businesses to the economy and listed a number of measures aimed at SME’s in the PN’s Programme. He made particular reference to a proposal which indicates that self-employed people would no longer be required to pay the full social security contribution, but rather an amount based on their income.
Speaking about the EU budget, the PN Leader argued that he hoped an agreement would soon be reached, further explaining the amount of projects which were funded by the EU the past legislature.
