The PN Electoral Programme went through 13 months of consultation before being approved, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said in an interview on Net TV.

He mentioned a number of the PN proposals regarding tax credits, job creation as well as the education system, whilst thanking a number of organisations including the Malta Developers Association, UHM and the GRTU for their recommendations.

The PN leader mentioned the creation of 25,000 jobs in the next legislature and his goal to attract more international investment. He spoke of the incentives for SME’s and women.

The PN deputy leader Simon Busuttil said that he will remain optimistic of the country’s future if a PN Government is elected, regardless of the outside economic situation. He spoke highly of the sick leave proposal, which would allow parents to use their sick leave to care for their children and declined claims of the tablet scheme being an electoral stunt. He concluded that the next step will be to reveal the financial projections behind the 125 proposals.
