PN should publish all their accounts - Joseph Muscat
PN Leader Lawrence Gonzi should publish the PN’s financial accounts since the last election, Labour Leader Joseph Muscat urged this morning.
Dr Muscat was addressing a press conference at the Xaghra Belvedere in Gozo, where he stated that the PL have always published their annual fiscal accounts, adding that the PL would have no problem with people found guilty of corruption being unable to run for office.
The Labour Leader spoke of his Party’s proposals, mentioning the construction of a Cruise Liner Terminal in Gozo. He reiterated the PL's proposal to create a ferry service between Valletta and Gozo, whilst also mentioning the possibility of a bridge between the two islands. In order to entice more people to visit the island, he described the PL’s plan to reduce ferry rates for people who spent a minimum of one night in Gozo.
Dr Muscat mentioned a tax-credit on €50,000 start-up investments to be used over a four-year-period. He mentioned a €5,000 wage refund for every new worker a country hires with a three-year-contract.
EU mechanisms to assess economic differences between Malta and Gozo would be used by a new Government, the PL Leader argued. He spoke on Gozitan Education, announcing that the Party would work to attract international educational institutions to open up centres of excellence in Gozo and would encourage a medical school within the Gozo Hospital.
