PL leader Joseph Muscat has criticised the PN’s Electoral Programme as it does not include transparency laws.

He was attending a political event in Sannat, Gozo, where he stated that the Whistle Blower Act is not present in the PN's proposals, nor is the law on party financing or the removal of time-barring in cases of political corruption, asking if the PN has something to hide.  "We need these laws so that no politicians tainted by corruption can rest easy," he added, describing his anti-corruption proposals.

He spoke on the proposals he made this morning regarding 'Open Government', mentioning the greater role which people would be able to play in Government decision making.

He indicated that the PL are the only party to reveal their financial accounts each year. Dr Muscat addressed those who would be voting Labour for the first time arguing that they would be making history by joining this movement.
