ADZ, the youth branch of Alternattiva Demokratika, has reiterated its position in favour of extending the votes in all elections to 16-year olds, in a clear indicator of youth empowerment.

ADZ Chairperson Rueben Zammit said that he was proud the AD is the only party that is in favour of this proposal and that although both PN and PL have been making half-baked promises to this right these are exclusively for Local Council and European Parliament elections.

ADZ PRO Robert Callus spoke about the decisions that 16-year olds have to take all the time in their career and education choices. He feels that they should be able to choose those who are in charge of the policy making that will shape their future.
