If you work in the media, whether you’re a photojournalist, reporter or cameraperson, Election Day is like Christmas, your birthday, and the day of your graduation all rolled in one. It’s stressful, exciting, exhausting and thrilling.

So here we are. It should be a fun albeit hectic two days.

Working on Election Day is pretty exciting, and not just because there is always a ton of laughter, tears, photos, words and food (yes, lots of food). There is nothing like being in a newsroom or at the counting hall during the election. You can feel it in the air, the excitement and anticipation of waiting for results, seeking that elusive leak of information, picking on the grin or that fist banging on a desk and breaking the news to the public. You count on us and we have to deliver.

So, if you haven’t already, go vote. Make our Election Day in the newsrooms busy. Voting is your right – do it for yourselves, do it for the country but mostly do it for us running all over the island bringing you live news feeds of what’s happening and where.

Here are those that over the next days will link you to the streets and halls as Malta’s 23rd General Election unfolds.
