The counting of votes of the Local Councils’ elections started at 07:30h on Saturday after voting was held last Saturday in 33 localities in Malta and Gozo.

Around 82% voter turnout was registered in the localities.

Councillors will be elected in the following localities: Valletta, Bormla, Żabbar, Zejtun,Victoria Gozo, Birkirkara, Fgura, Fontana, Gudja, Għarb, Għasri, Għaxaq, Kalkara, Lija, Marsaskala, Mellieħa, Mġarr, Imqabba, Msida, Naxxar, Pembroke, Pieta’, Qrendi, Rabat, San Gwann, Sannat, Santa Venera, Sliema, Ta’ Xbiex, Tarxien, Xewkija, Xgħajra, and Mtarfa.
