Following its launch on June 20 by the Minister of Health Dr Joe Cassar, emcare recently started offering its e-monitoring services to its clients after a period of intensive beta testing. emcare had also a stand at this year’s Malta Trade Fair, where visitors had the opportunity to get to know about the service and the devices on offer.

emCare is an innovative electronic and mobile health services company that provides continuous health and environment monitoring. It also operates a command and control centre or a care centre as it is known on a 24/7 basis with which each client is linked. emcare is aimed at empowering men and women of all ages to be more independent, secure and in control of their health and well-being.

The two main shareholding companies of emCare360 Ltd,  CareMalta Group and 6pm plc, bring with them a wealth of experience in care for the elderly and information technology projects. Its directors have vast experience in IT projects, medical informatics, social policy and entrepreneurship.

Through its services emcare is targeting segments of the population suffering from diabetes, asthma and heart conditions through devices such as a blood pressure monitor and pulse oximeter glucose meter. In the coming months it will also roll out what is considered as the most comprehensive package of services ever offered to the elderly, the safe at home package. This package includes devices such as a bed sensor, bed wetting, chair pressure, CO gas, exit, extreme temp, gas alert, intruder, no motion, on wrist fall, panic, pendant fall alert, your pill, smoke and pendant panic alert.

For the months of August and September, emcare is offering the service free of charge (including free installation) for those who register as clients on a yearly contract.
