Restaurant bookings for Christmas lunch are erratic at the moment, explained a spokesman from the General Retailers and Traders Union (GRTU).

Some restaurants, the more well-known names, are fully booked whilst others have close to no bookings. The spokesman said that there is likely to be a flurry of last minute bookings as there have been in the past.

The restaurants and hotels are trying to keep prices stable due to the outside economic situation. “The market has become extremely segmented, more so than it has ever been before”, explained the spokesman.
