The Little Things That Make Us Go Gaga
It seems that what keeps us infatuated by our bf/gf is the small insignificant gestures that remind us of how we felt at the beginning. Yes, these are the things that make you go crazy – in a good way!
They fart, they leave their clothes in a pile next to the bed, they spend hours in the bathroom, they complain about their weight all the time; oh, boy, don’t our better halves annoy us sometimes?
You can have the patience of Job, but when it boils down to it, there will come days when you will want to beat the living daylight out of your partner. Nevertheless, we wouldn’t be with them if they didn’t make us happy, so for once, we have voxed the popvli to find out what their other halves do to drive them nuts – for all the right reasons!
“He sends me random texts telling me he loves me. He’ll be out with his friends or his family and he’ll just send it, randomly! My heart just skips a beat when he does that. I feel so special.” Julie, 24
“When we’re making love, he whispers in my ear and nibbles on it - it drives me insane! I get so horny my hips start dancing the Macarena and I know - yeah, I know - that drives him wild too. It’s a bit of a cycle, really, maybe he does it cause he gets pleasure out of it as well, who knows? The real question is, do I care? Nope!” Danielle, 32
“She always puts on my favourite perfume before she comes to bed - Miss Dior Cherie. I always tell her that she smells like a cupcake and I really like it. It’s such a small thing but it really has kept the romance and the chemistry in the bedroom, if you know what I mean... It’s so sweet - no pun intended, of course.” Damien, 39
“Every Friday, on my way home from the office, I stop at this little flower shop round the corner from our house and buy my wife flowers - sometimes tulips, sometimes lilies and sometimes roses. What I love about it is the fact that after 25 years of doing this, she still acts surprised and gives me a kiss on the lips with the same intensity as she did the first time I did it. It’s that bit of effort that just makes it all worth it.” Joe, 54
And what about you DI-VErs? What do your better halves do to drive you hillbilly goodway style?
