Maltese Production Wins Two Awards at The USA Indie Fest Competition
The production ‘120741’ produced by Chris & Maurice Micallef was awarded two Awards of Merit for creativity/originality and for an experimental film-making in ‘The Indie Fest Competition’ held in the United States last month.
The experimental production is about the infamous attack by the Japanese on Pearl Harbour during WW2 on December 7th 1941. The production depicts some of the impressions encountered during that time.
Indie Fest awards go to those filmmakers who produce fresh, standout entertainment, animation and compelling documentaries. The Indie Fest is a showcase for cinematic gems and a unique voice and recognizes filmmakers who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity.
The festival judges felt that ‘120741’ was among the very best amongst the productions submitted from different countries around the world. The Micallefs have to date been awarded 127 awards in film making from which 81 are from international competitions.
