President visits l-Istrina satellite venue SmartCity Malta
President George Abela visited SmartCity Malta as one of the satellites venue of this year’s L-Istrina Mill-Qalb 2013. The President visited the Laguna Walk which will be open for the very first time to the public within SmartCity Malta during this year’s L-Istrina, and will be officially inaugurated next Spring.
This year, SmartCity Malta is hosting part of l-Istrina mill-Qalb for the second time running, on December 26 from noon to 21:30h, opening its doors to the public for a day full of fun activities and entertainment.
The Laguna Walk at SmartCity Malta is an ideal satellite venue for the hosting of l-Istrina 2013 which aims to give back to the Maltese community and organize fun-filled activities. The scenic terraced rooftops overlooking the lagoon, and the promenade, together with the grand steps are all beautiful attractions which the Maltese will undoubtedly enjoy. In addition, the open-air amphitheatre which will play host to a number of special entertainment attractions will provide a picturesque, stadium-styled seating facing the events stage, against the backdrop of the lagoon and magnificent fountains. With excellent live performances, a children’s area, Patches market, an all-round electrifying atmosphere and so many more, l-Istrina 2013 at SmartCity Malta promises to be a unique and exciting family experience.
President George Abela thanked the management of SmartCity Malta that for the second year round are supporting L-Istrina with a generous donation. President Abela encouraged the general public that during l-Istrina, they are invited to visit the new Laguna Walk and also enjoy the atmosphere with best local talent participating during the show.
