The Local Council Association, the GRTU and the Gozo Business Chamber have been chosen to host Europe Direct Information Centres in Malta and Gozo for the next five years, as part of a network of 480 EU information centres across the EU..

The centres chosen guarantee good geographical coverage and their staff have the necessary skill to deal with public queries regarding the European Union. Enquiries will be directed to the best sources on EU matters while a number of EU publications will be also available to the public.

The choice of the Europe Direct host organisations was made through a call for proposals launched in all EU Member States late last year.
