32,000 votes remain uncollected

As the last day to collect electoral voting documents can be collected from the Police stations, draws to a close, the same Police stations have reported that around 9% of the votes have not as yet been collected from certain localities.

This means that around 32,000 of 343,000 people eligible for this election have not as yet collected their votes.

For anyone who wishes to collect their voting documents, the Police stations wil be open between 9.00 and 13.00 and between 15.00 and 22.00.

Today is also the day that the first votes will be cast by people who live abroad or are residents in hospitals and houses for the elderly. The rest of the votes will be cast next Saturday 24 May.
