A 67-year-old man was injured in a traffic accident that took place this morning at around 10.15h on Triq Dawret in Ghaxaq.

Soon after the two vehicles, a Toyota Dyna and a Hyundai Atos, collided, members of the Civil Protection Department reached the scene.

The man, a Gudja resident, was taken to hospital, where it was found that although he suffered grievious injuries, he is not in danger of dying.

The driver of the Toyota, a 60-year-old man, did not suffer any injuries.

Police investigations are underway.
