Alternativa Demokratika spokespersons  Arnold Cassola and Claire Azzopardi Lane attended the inauguration of a computer lab that will address the needs of persons who are visually impaired or blind at the Torball Society for the Blind in Floriana.

The computer lab includes four personal computers equipped with the necessary software and hardware required by these people in order for them to have access to learning, media and communication. The computer lab will be open for members of the Torball Society free of charge.

AD spokesperson for disability issues and sports Claire Azzopardi Lane said that  since people with disabilities had difficulty in accessing full time employment and thus depended on their disability pensions, opportunities such as this are indispensable as the purchase of such software and hardware was often beyond personal financial means.

The Torball Society is encouraging anyone who would like to join their society to come forward and make use of their resources.
