Airport Attendants are not trolleys – UHM
The role of airport attendants at the Malta International Airport (MIA) will be transferred to a private contractor. Secretary General of the Union Haddiema Maghqudin (UHM) Joseph Vella, argued; “Airport attendants are people, not trollies to be moved around wherever you want”.
MIA explained that the workers, along with the work, will be transferred over to the private contractor. In response, the UHM stated that it reserves the right to take any necessary steps to safeguard the interests of its members.
The General Worker’s Union (GWU) is united with the UHM in this fight and together, represent the workers of the MIA.
