Bail denied for alleged thief
Matthew Camilleri, 25, from Gzira, was charged with stealing from several residences in Sliema, St Julian’s, Birkirkara and Naxxar in September and October.
He was also charged with using someone else’s Visa card to steal money and harbouring stolen goods, as well as relapsing on a previous sentence.
Mr Camilleri pleaded not guilty to all charges brought against him. He was not granted bail and was escorted to Cordin Corrective Facility.
Prosecution was led by Inspectors Tony Cachia, Priscilla Caruana and Jonathan Ransley.
Magistrate Carol Peralta presided over the case.
